Summary:Species assemblages of beetles is a collection of beetles found together in the range of the assemblage zone in which all species are accounted. The need of this study is to cover the geographic site that has not been covered by previous study by Tan (2020) and update the current data on the Samunsam Wildlife Sanctuary region. Within this study, it has provided an updated list of collected species as well as to explain its current presence or abundance and comparative of new species and the abundance of collected species. Throughout seven days of sampling three methods were used which are Modified Pennsylvanian light trap, intercept trap and handpicking. A total of 14 families which consists of 23 subfamilies, 32 species and 208 individuals of beetles (Order: Coleoptera) were collected in this study at Samunsam Wildlife Sanctuary. Lundu, Sarawak. Family Scarabaeidae representing being the most diverse and abundant with a total of 12 species with relative abundance of 37.50% and 180 individuals with relative abundance of 86.54%. The most common species obtained is Apogonia destructor (Bos, 1980) with 117 individuals which compromises of 56.25%. Modified Pennsylvanian Light trap is the most effective method to collect beetles as insects are mainly attracted to light element and to have an extensive data, an extended period of sample days and various variables are strongly suggested to conclude better of the research area.
