| Summary: | The evolution of traditional library to digital library is not merely technology
evolution, but it requires a change in the paradigm by which people access and
interact with· information. Digital library involves initial conversion of content from
physical to digital form and preserve in the centralized repository. Community
Library is a web based system that allows user to access to massive amount of
digitized stored contents and download it with some limitations for their own use.
Users are able to easily publish their work or documents in digital library since
digital library supports variety formats of document. Other than that, user can use
searching and browsing feature to retrieve specific document from the digital library.
Community Library is an enhancement of MyKLiK educational platform such that it
has good portfolio and digital library features that can support sharing, printing,
downloading, commenting and reading the digitized contents from the library. The
enhancement of the system will include features where users can easily comment on
other's work, download the contents within the set time frame; interact with other
users through online community and reading the stories in flexible ways. Having all
these features included in the system increases the usability and functionality of the
system as it will be capable to do more such as reading, downloading, commenting
and creating group than just creating and sharing the contents, which is the main
objective of this project. |
