These dondan were audio-recorded from two elders in Kampung Sibang, Bau, a Bidayuh Jagoi area. The results showed that the dondan is portrayed on how the traditional Bidayuh people viewed their world and analysis the narrative structure of the dondan was rather straightforward with usage of culturally related figurative languages. The findings suggest that the dondan have their own unique characteristics, which are closely related to the lives of the Bidayuh.
