Therefore, this study was conducted in order to document the status of fish eggs composition and distribution with relatedness of environmental condition. Samplings were conducted on 15th July 2013 for Sampadi Island (two stations), 14th September 2013 for Lundu (six stations) and 15th September 2013 for Sematan coastal waters (six stations). eggs encompassed of seven families were obtained at Sematan coastal waters. The fish eggs obtained were mostly spherical, while one family was non-spherical. In terms of diversity, richness and evenness indices, Lundu has recorded the highest while Sematan coastal water
recorded the lowest. |
