Self-efficacy was defined as a person's belief in his or her capability to successfully do something. People with high self-efficacy will attempt tasks they perceived as being difficult by increasing their effort to attain success but people with low self-efficacy will see challenges as a threat and will not attempt to the task. In academic setting, self-efficacy plays a significant role in ensuring that students will achieve the formal education goal to equip them with intellectual tools which will assist them throughout their lifetime. In this research, quantitative data were collected by distributing questionnaires to the students. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics to determine the level of self-efficacy in spoken and written English. Then, this study compares the differences between self-efficacy level in spoken and written English among male and female students.
