Description
Summary:The Collybia sp_ of mushroom that investigated LfI this study is one o[ the edible mushfl'oms under the genera o f Tricholomataceae. The main objective of thIs study is to in vestigate the effect of envIronmental factors (temperatme, hght exposure, pH) and nutnents m substrate (carbon, nirrogen, phosphorus, magnesium and p0l3ssLUm) on colony growth of Col/ybia sp. Effects of \"a rlous media, temperature, hght, pH, and sources of carbon , nitrogen. potassium, magneslUm, and pho:-tphate on growth of CO (~\ lO sp. were exami ned. There wa s si gn ifica nt difference a l P<O.OS of growt h rates of Col/ybw sp. on the d. ffereo! media. The fastest growth rate of Co/lybia sp. occurred on soy bean agar (SBAwo). The op tlnl Wn temperature for growth o f CollyblO sp. \l,/as at 23 °C. The growth ra les were reduced as the temperature was decreased or mcreased and no growth at 3SoC and ..wile. There was significant e ffect of IJghl on growth rale of Collybia sp. 1110 Collybw sp. grew faster under Iighl conditIOn compa red in dark cond ition. Gro\Vth test on different pH show€:d that Col/yblO sp. gre \l,/ more actlve at pH range 6.0- 8.0. MedJa contain maltose, soluble starch , sucrose and mann itol for ca rbon sources allowed good grov.1 h. Soy bean steep, peptone and yeasl were suitable nitrogen sources for growth o f Collybia sp. llle fa stest growth of Collvbia sp. found when K2SO" used compared with other potassIum sources. Different sources of magnesium and phospha te also showed th e significant effect on growth of the Collybia sp.
