总结:A study was carried out to document the diversity of fish fauna and selected water quality parameters at Lio Mato and Long San, Batang Baram, Miri. A total of 6 stations were selected at each of the areas. Fish sampling gears such as monofilament gill nets of different mesh sizes, three-layered nets, cast net, electroshocker device and scoop nets were used. A total of 1068 individuals were caught with Cyprinidae as the dominant family (62.84 %), followed by Siluridae (23.22 %) and Balitoridae (5.81 %). The dominant species are Kryplopleros macrocephalus (N= 163), followed by Lobocheilos falcifer (N= 149) and Crossocheilus nigriloba (N= 136). Lio Mato recorded a Shannon-Weiner diversity index of 2.3239, Margalefs richness index of 4.6211 and Pielou's evenness index of 0.6901, whereas Long San recorded diversity index of2.6552, richness index of 5.881 and evenness index of 0.7248. Barbonymus schwanenfeldii showed positive allometric growth (b= 3.105), whereas Phalacronolus macrocephalus, Phalacronolus apogon, Osleochilus microcephalus, Luciosoma spilopleura and Lobocheilos falcifer showed negative allometric growth (b:s: 2.914). Temperature ranged from 24.1 to 31.5 °C, pH ranged from 6.81 to 7.57, dissolved oxygen ranged from 6.66 to 8.13 mg/L, turbidity ranged from 0.13 to 504.70 NTU and conductivity with a range of 24 to 97 J.1S/cm. Total suspended solids ranged from 4 to 249 mg/L, BOD5 ranged from 0.57 to 3.27 mg/L and chiorophyIl-a ranged from 0.807 to 6.972 J.1g/L. From the result, the water quality at Long San showed higher pH, higher amount of dissolved oxygen, lower turbidity and total suspended solids which is more suitable for fish. The higher species diversity, richness and evenness in Long San showed that the ecosystem is a more suitable habitat for freshwater fish fauna
