Chemical component present in the wax was determ ined by Kovat's retention indices and using cluster analysis to determine the correlation. It reveals that Alpinia, Elleleria, EllelariopsiS kerbyi, Ellingera Iriorga/ys and Hedychium coronarium ha ve some similarities due to the component present and its amount. The result might be useful in chemotaxonomic study for the genera.
