Summary:This study examines the impact of the nearby constructed Ulu Skrang road on the tourism activities and the livelihood of the people in the three selected longhouses: Nanga Mejong, Nanga Murat and Mujan. The respondents for this study are comprised of selected individuals, which altogether are 76 respondents. The main method of data collection was by using survey questionaire. The focus of the questionaire was on how the new road construction affects the tourism activities in the area and the people's perception of the preferred development in the areas as a result of the completion of the Ulu Skrang road.
