Summary:Development in telecommunication and information technology have set in motion an electronic revolution in the Malaysian recruitment sector. This in turn has resulted in new delivery channels for recruitment products and services which encouragement the growth of online rectuirment systems. In this context, the purpose of this study is to examine the evolution of online recruiting in Malaysia, analyze the various online recruitment methods utilized by local organizations and companies and to assess the best method of online recruitment. Thus, the fathered information served as an input to build the e-JobSeek which improves defects that are found in existing online recruitment systems as well as its traditional recruitment counterpart. e-JobSeek is a front-end view (i.e. the job seeker's view) system which enables them to search and apply for jobs online. e-JobSeek is developed using Microsoft FrontPage 2002 using Active Server Pages (ASP). VBScript and Sequential Query Language statement as development languages. Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) is used to test the application locally and Microsoft Access 2000 is the chosed as the database it integrates well with Active Server Pages.
