Germination of Neolamarkia cadamba (Roxb. ) Bosser Seeds following Dehydration Technique
A study was done to assess the effectiveness of dehydration technique in cryopreserving N. cadamba seeds. Dehydration methods used were laminar air flow, silica gel and sucrose. Initial moisture content and germination of the seeds used were 15.0% and 24% respectively. The highest germination...

Summary: | A study was done to assess the effectiveness of dehydration technique in cryopreserving
N. cadamba seeds. Dehydration methods used were laminar air flow, silica gel and
sucrose. Initial moisture content and germination of the seeds used were 15.0% and 24%
respectively. The highest germination was for duration of storing by using sucrose at 0.4
M for 120 minutes. Laminar air flow gave the highest germination at 6 and 8 hours of
dehydration period and was obtained for these seeds kept and dehydrated for 96 hours in
silica gel |
