Summary: | The ability of government departments to adapt to current needs and requirements is
crucial, and it depends on their ability to learn and share knowledge. To investigate this
relationship, a quantitative study was conducted among more than 20 government
departments in Sarawak, Malaysia. The study targeted 347 federal civil servants in
Kuching and Kota Samarahan to determine whether learning organizations are associated
with readiness to change and whether knowledge sharing plays a moderating role. The
study found that learning organizations increase the readiness to change among civil
servants, but knowledge sharing plays an opposite role in moderating this relationship. The
study's data was analyzed using PLS-SEM4 and SPSS Version 29. Future research should
investigate the role of other variables such as AI as moderators, and similar research
should be conducted in other federal government departments in Sarawak, Sarawak state
government agencies, local authorities, and Government-Linked Companies (GLCs). |
