Therefore, a cross-sectional survey was conducted to examine the relationship between the dimensions of residential well being and residents satisfaction of multi-storey affordable housing in Kuching Sarawak. The data were collected through questionnaire surveys on 106 samples and further analyzed using descriptive analysis through the SPSS V.26 software and PLS-SEM Path Analysis through the SmartPLS V.3.2.2. The quantitative findings have provided support for the research model through the measurement of reliability and validity. This study has found that all of the 8 constructs, namely affordability, size of residence, public facilities, residential management, neighbourhood characteristics, housing services, social environment and residents satisfaction of multi-storey affordable housing were valid measures for their respective construct based on the measure estimates and statistical significance. Furthermore, this study recognised affordability, size of residence, public facilities and residential management to be significant dimensions in contributing towards residents satisfaction of multi-storey affordable housing in Kuching. The findings of this study revealed that the identification of residential well being and residents satisfaction dimensions will help developers and urban planners to better understand the criteria for improved quality of housing for Sarawakians. Therefore, it is proven that housing needs and residential well being must be considered in order to improve the overall well being and quality of life of the individuals of the target group, specifically those of middle and low-income groups who more commonly reside in affordable housing.
