Prof. Dato' Dr. Mohd Sobri, Idris Pulverised fuel ash Silicon dioxide (SiO2) Aluminium oxide (Al2O3) Iron oxide (Fe2O3) Fly ash Chemical properties Organized by Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), 9th - 12th June 2007 at Park Royal Hotel, Penang. Pulverised fuel ash is the finely divided mineral residue resulting from the combustion of coal in electric generating plants. Pulverised fuel ash consists of inorganic, incombustible matter present in the coal that has been fused during combustion into a glassy, amorphous structure. Pulverised fuel ash particles are generally spherical in shape and range in size from 2 μm to 10 μm. They consist mostly of silicon dioxide(SiO2), aluminium oxide (Al2O3) and iron oxide (Fe2O3). Pulverised fuel ash like soil contains trace concentrations of the following heavy metals: nickel, vanadium, cadmium, barium, chromium, copper, molybdenum, zinc and lead. The chemical compositions of the sample have been examined and the flyash are of ASTM C618 Class F. 2008-05-22T04:30:11Z 2008-05-22T04:30:11Z 2007-06-09 Working Paper http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/1189 en 1st International Conference on Sustainable Materials 2007 (ICoSM2007) Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP)
