A low-dimensional, Lorenz-like model was obtained using the Galerkin truncated approximation. The fourth-order Runge-Kutta method was employed to solve the nonlinear system. We found a case that shows the loss of stability can be enhanced and the onset of chaotic convection can be delayed within larger interval. 2010-11-25T02:24:09Z 2010-11-25T02:24:09Z 2010-06-02 Working Paper Vol.1(23), p.143-148 http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/10292 en Proceedings of the 1st Regional Conference on Applied and Engineering Mathematics (RCAEM-I) 2010 Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) Institut Matematik Kejuruteraan
