By analysing several studies, this paper finds that short tennis has been widely promoted and applied in China, especially in enhancing children's physical and mental qualities with remarkable results. The curriculum and scientific training programme of short tennis are crucial for the development of children's interest and skills in the sport. Studies have also shown that short tennis has a positive effect on children's coordination, speed, endurance and teamwork.
