As a new start-up in service industry VeS relies so much on part time employees. These workers work with them as facilitators and speakers. Since they are part time works thus it can be difficult for the company to establish the kind of work ethic that they want among the employees. Nevertheless the co-founders of Vital ed Solution also realized the needs for training although they may not be sure of the kind of training that these employees might need in order for them to motivated and at the same time provide VeS with the appropriate working ethics thus reduce volatility. Besides that, VeS just like other start-up are also lacking of strategic planning that could help the company to differentiate itself further form rivals. There are evidence of company low investment in innovation and other expansion plans. All these sustainability factors should be tackle carefully in order to avoid failure in implementation. VeS as discussed in this case study may be facing problem with suppliers during certain period of time. Their reliance over accommodation cooperatives for example, can give tremendous impact to the company if not tackled properly. In this case study, the writer will evaluate and discuss all relevant factors that may affect the company’s ability to remain as a competitor in the industry. The area may cover both operations management and marketing plans. This case study also evaluate the activities planned by VeS managers and the facts gathered are used to analyse the needs for a start-up company to survive in this globalized world and suggestions made for the company betterment. As to sustain in the industry, VeS show reason to strengthen all levels of operations. SWOT analysis used, shows evidence of weakness in the area of human resources, supply chain and other areas which can be very daunting for the company’s development. Despite that reason, there are also solutions that can be made to practice. The ability to reduce absenteeism among facilitators would be a challenge for VeS thus motivational training and leadership training are important tools that should be made compulsory to all VeS employees. VeS may have to strengthen its operations management before going for a bigger expansion planning. Collaboration with other agencies and organization may bring all the good governance into the company to be practiced. Definitely, for a start-up, operations management and marketing plan play pivotal roles in increasing company’s profit. Efficient operational activities will reduce cost thus increase profit. A through marketing strategy will help in building customer loyalty. The ability of VeS to increase the number of loyal customers will guarantee company’s good future performance since VeS products are inter-related. Loyal customers should be acknowledge as a powerful free marketing agent. Dissemination of information about VeS products through word of mouth are evidence of customer loyalty.
