Bamboo culm of aged 1, 2, 3 and 4 years were used in this study. For the physical properties, the tests were carried out on the four factors of moisture content, basic density, swelling, shrinkage. The internodes from 2 until 28 were used. Basic density year 1 is 0.51, year 2 is 0.61, year 3 is 0.5, year 4 is 0.5 and year 5 is 0.62. For the moisture content, aged 1 bamboo is 59.44 aged 2 is 52.44 , aged 3 is 48.94 , aged 4 is 35.83 is and lastly aged 5 is 30.34. For the swelling, aged 1 of bamboo have the value of 51.52, aged 2 is 48.26 , aged 3 is 32.5, aged 4 is 35.69 and lastly is aged 5 that is 32.05.Lastly, the test for shrinkage.
