The results showed that the basic density of the year 2 for the intemodes 2. 6. 10. 14. 18. 22. 26 and 30 were 438.20 g/cm³. 405.56 g/cm³. 448.88 g/cm³. 413.13 g/cm³. 230.71 g/cm³. 351.08 g/cm³. 334.10 g/cm³. and 461.59 g/cm³ respectively. The basic density of the year 4 for the intemodes 2. 6. 10. 14. 18. 22. 26 and 30 were 666.96 g/cm³. 743.51 g/cm³. 791.18 g/cm³. 747.01 g/cm³, 656.61 g/cm³. 628.43 g/cm³, 553.61 g/cm³ and 972.81 g/cm³. From the results. the basic density is increase when the ages of the culm bamboo increase due to the more compacted culms bamboo for age 4 years old. The physical properties of B. vulgaris are dependent on factors such as age and intemodes.
