Summary:Sungai Rual is one of the rivers in Jeli district, Kelantan. Around the vicinity of the river have many beautiful landscape that is potential to attract people to come and enjoy the area. The aim of this thesis is to discuss about geotourism potential of this river. Geological mapping was conducted to observe geological as well as geomorphological features of the area. This river area is mostly formed of granitic rocks. An outcrop of magma mixture in the river is among the important features of this river. The morphology of Sungai Rual and its surroundings are potential geotourism object as well. As for Sungai Rual area, geoheritage values such as scientific and educational, aesthehtic, cultural and recreational can be identified that lead to potential of geotourism for the study area. Some other geological and geomorphological features that occur in the area are joints, cascades and hills that make the area more interesting and enjoyable to be explored. The existence of the village of aboriginal people (orang asli) is another (non-geological) attraction of the area.
