More research needs to be conducted to explore first-person narrators as a medium to get the audience into experience and consciousness. This is a quantitative research conducted in order to examine the impact of the narrator on the audience and to determine the criteria of the narration that pique the viewers’ interest to watch the entire film as well as to examine whether first-person narrator is a great medium to evoke the human experience towards the audience. Online surveys were distributed to individuals at the age of 17 to 60-year-old within Malaysia. The result of statistical analysis showed the positive impact of the first-person narrator to trigger the emotion among the viewers and also the reliability of the narrator is highly appreciated and crucial but not necessarily needed.
