Therefore, the only way a homestay can provide tourists a novel experience and boost its competitiveness and tourist appeal is if it is founded on its own advantages and drawbacks, heightened innovation, and exploitation of cultural connotations. The overall development status and current issues of homestay are investigated in this paper through the identification of innovative elements in homestay programmes using literature analysis, online interviews, and questionnaires.
