Summary: | In the present work, we aim to study the effect of natural additive pomegranate added lithium hexafluorophosphate (PLHFP), where the developed composite is expected to have applications towards the highperformance lithium (Li) ion batteries. The PLHFP was successfully synthesized by the sol-gel method by making use of lithium hexafluorophosphate (LHFP) and was thoroughly analyzed for the physicochemical characterization like surface morphology, crystalline nature, and optical properties. From the physical characterization, we found that the formed product is of crystalline in nature having a hexagonal structure, and is of optically active. The morphological studies indicated a nanowhisker (rod-like morphology) having the 16 mu m size. The testing of the electrochemical behavior of the PLHFP composite using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), we found that the charge was gradually varying with an increase of time. Also, the PLHFP electrolyte material has high transmittance of about 64.8% in near-ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared regions. Based on the studies, it can be confirmed that the developed PLHFP material can serve as a significant milepost towards the research of materials for Li-ion batteries. |
