Description
Summary:Non accessible cost-effective clean water and it sustainability has globally, become the most demanding problems. Wastewater purification using Nanofiltration (NF) membranes separation technique is a costeffective way of solving these demanding problems. However, the design of an innovative material for the fabrication of a membrane is quite difficult; hence polymer blending make provisions for a number of advantages like its ease of preparation, replicability and commercial sustainability, leading to a unique polymer with interdependent properties. A short review on the utilization of NF membranes for desalination was given. Types of polymer materials used in fabrication of membranes were discussed. Factors to be considered for the fabrication of NF membranes from polymer blends were briefly discussed. (c) 2020 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
