Summary:History has proven that the local art and crafts are not only reflects fine craftsmanship but the success of their creators in capturing the local aesthetics essence. This course objectively introduces students to the simple world of the Malay traditional art and craft that was once being exercised with awareness towards nature that embodies the society way of life. For the Malays, Islam plays an overriding factor with deep sense of value for creativity and resourcefulness. Thus, the art and crafts of the traditional Malay have inspired many through the expression, devotion, spirit and intellectuality.
