Summary: | My memorable and enlightening 6-months of industrial training began here at The RuMa Hotel and Residences. This internship report details the period that I have finished in The RuMa Hotel and Residences which started on 1st March 2023 and ends on 15th August 2023. The RuMa Hotel and Residences offers various types of services including front office, housekeeping, kitchen operation, and food and beverages services. I had finished my industrial training in the Human Resources department (HR). This unit control and manage everything about recruitment and selection, onboarding and orientation, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, HR policies and compliance, HR analytics, and reporting, and last but not least planning and organizing events or projects. During my 6 months internship, I was assigned to perform tasks related to recruitment, on boarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training, and development. I learned a lot of skills and knowledge related to manpower and recruitment. I enjoy this internship because the staff is supportive and willing to guide me during my internship journey. This report also has content on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) of The RuMa Hotel and Residences on-site recruitment. The strength of the on-site recruitment is its focus on access to a larger pool of potential candidates due to the location of the recruitment events. Then, the weaknesses of on-site recruitment are limited reach which may restrict the talent pool. Next, the opportunity is to improve the company’s branding and reputation by creating a positive experience for candidates. Last but not least, the threat will be the competition from other companies who are also recruiting on-site. |
