Description
Summary:This introductory course exposes student to stage genres such as: Tonil, Opera, Bangsawan, Ketoprak, Zarzuela, Sandiwara, Purbawara, Jenakarama as well as theater. Students are introduced to the history and background of bangsawan theater. Students are also exposed to the fundementals of writing a Bangsawan script such as episodic style, plot structure, character, scene construction, dramatic structure, settings, story time and the technical aspect of Bangsawan theater. Students are going to be familiar with the writing techniques and style of Bangsawan script emphasizing on the important of and ‘laras bahasa’ and ‘tasmat’.
