Summary: | Education is part of government responsibility to the public. Malaysia education system consists of primary and secondary level. Duration of primary education in Malaysia take 6 years to be completed while secondary education takes about 5 years to be completed. The admission for the first year of primary education is seven and the main public examination is UPSR. According to UNESCO, total government spending on education comprises 20.3 % of total government expenditure. From the resources taken from Education Malaysia, pre-tertiary education (pre-school to secondary education) is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education (MOE) while tertiary or higher education is the responsibility of the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).
