Summary:The course provides a multi-disciplinary overview of the basic problems, concepts, values and methods/approaches of environmental management in developed and developing countries. The course explores current environmental issues in the world such as climate change, pollution, deforestation, waste management, environmental justice and poor countries’ dilemma. The first section of the course deals with the basic themes, concepts and issues relating to managing the environment and resource systems. The second part of the course introduces the students to various methods/approaches for governing the environment in developing countries.
