Description
Summary:This course focuses on developing a post graduate student’s ability in conducting an applied research project and producing a presentable applied research report in an acceptable style. Each student is expected to present before a cohort of peers his or her applied research progress four times during the course period. The progress of the student’s project will be adjudicated by an academic who is also responsible to guide the student on the right research project track. This mentoring cum evaluating roles of the academic and other constructive comments from the student’s peers will stimulate active learning process experientially through constant revision of an active research in process. Since the course pre-requisites are Research Methodology as well as Qualitative and Quantitative Data Analysis, the students are assumed to have the basic knowledge on techniques available to them in completing their applied research project. At the end of the course period, typically a semester, each student is expected to submit a preliminary draft of his or her applied research project report in a prescribed format. The academic will independently evaluate each applied research project indicating where necessary further amendments that need to be done. The students are instructed to comply with such suggestions for amendments before finalising their applied research project reports which are also required to be submitted
