Description
Summary:Cash waqf is now a pride where this cash waqf is a platform that provides alternative facilities for Muslims to participate in maliah worship such as waqf according to their ability without involving property or permanent assets. In addition, the goal of cash waqf is to encourage Muslims to recognize waqf as a system that is believed to have the potential to drive the socio-economic development of the ummah. Unfortunately, nowadays and lately, the spirit of cash waqf among Muslims is beginning to decline and Muslims are starting to be stingy to contribute this cash waqf due to lack of trust in MAIPk institutions as trustees in managing cash waqf. Thus, the purpose of this research is to study the implementation of cash waqf in Waqf Perak Ar-Ridzuan (WPAR) by MAIPk in terms of cash waqf management methods in MAIPk, to study the factors that affect the lack of trust and confidence of waqf contributors to MAIPk management and to provide suggestions for solutions to the problem. The method used in this study is to use the interview method with the manager of the management unit of waqf MAIPk which focuses on the implementation of cash waqf in WPAR by MAIPk and the method of cash waqf management. The results of the study show that the MAIPk institutions still do not reveal the way they manage in general, causing the problem of lack of trust in the MAIPk institutions to occur among wakaf contributors and the community. The importance of this study is to show that the implementation of cash waqf will have a positive impact in moving towards the objectives of developed countries such as the resulting trust and confidence of high waqf contributors, management of quality waqf institutions, and development in the national economy. The policy implications of this study refer to the management of wakaf institutions, especially MAIPk, which need to be effective in managing cash wakaf funds to address the problem of lack of trust and confidence of cash wakaf contributors to MAIPk institutions.
