Government has put so much effort in order to eradicate poverty. Government has give a responsibility to the government agencies which is act as the program implementers in ensuring the program is achieve the objective and reach the target group. Ever since independence in 1957, Malaysia has successfully transformed itself from a poor country into a middle-income nation. The Malaysian economy has seen a periodic growth despite challenging external factors. It can also definitely claim its success of combat against poverty. Unfortunately, there still some group of people are still remains a vulnerable group of people in the county experiencing poverty for some geographical and societal reasons. This has given a challenge and problem faced by the implementers towards implementing poverty eradication program and policy in Malaysia especially in Sabah. This concept paper has several objectives which is to determine the most factor that affects poverty eradication program implementation especially in Sabah and recommendations for a sustainable poverty reduction and improvement of implementation in poverty eradication program.
