Summary:The purpose of this study is to develop a teaching method for learning basic tajweed. It is called Tajweed as Student Easy Resource (TaSER) courseware. The fact shows that there is lack of application related to the tajweed and students do not attract to learn it. This study aims to shed some lights on this issue with providing necessary knowledge pertinent to children on the age of nine and ten years old to gain knowledge of tajweed. ADDIE instructional model is used in order to develop this courseware. It consists of five phases; analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. It is then tested by two methods, unit testing and user testing. This courseware is designed in Malay version, consisting two sections. Each section represents level of the students. Besides, this courseware provides an exam section to evaluate the understanding of the users and a section for overall topic that covered in the courseware. In addition, the results show that 69.9% of the respondents agree with the usability of the courseware and 58.57% agree with the functionality of the courseware.
