The research been help by those interviewee to give more understanding and get clear view on how the application of the defence of unsoundness of mind in Malaysia, however based on information gathered we did a comparison with United States and India. On top of that we can see the differences and effectiveness of the law. McNaughten Rule is one of the early principle that been established to be applied in defence of insanity in United Kingdom. It becomes a main principle to be referred on some other country. However it changing due to the situation in every country, that is what we got it in our research when we compare with United States and India.
