Summary: | Malaysian government recognized tourism industry as an economic catalyst for the country. Recently in Malaysia, the tourism industry is the second highest contributor to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) after manufacturing. This study briefly discusses issues which focus on the implementation of Shariah compliant hotel concept at Pulai Springs Resort Berhad, Johor recently. Pulai Springs Resort Berhad is owned by Chinese Singaporean and they not interest at all in Islamic hotel management. It is because they serve alcoholic drinks to their visitor in their bars. Although, this company is owned by non Muslim, this study is to define the practices of implementation Syariah compliant hotel at Pulai Spring Resort Berhad which the real Shariah compliance hotel of these features is to provide friendly Muslim services to Muslim travelers. From this study, this resort can get information about the way to implement the Syariah compliance hotel. Furthermore, data collection is to find out about the practices of Shariah compliance at Pulai Springs Resort was carried out through an interview with the management of the hotel. As a conclusion, the practices of implementation Shariah compliance hotel for Pulai Springs Resort are still beginning stages. |
