Summary:Purpose of study: The purpose of this study was to identify the types, the frequency, the factors, purpose and knowledge/ skills regarding the use of standardized measures amongst occupational therapist in the paediatric setting in Malaysia. In addition, the study aims to identify any association, differences between any demographic variables and standardized measure of knowledge skills, score - type and concepts. Research design: A cross-sectional study through online survey was conducted to occupational therapists who are working in pediatric settings in Malaysia. Main findings: A response rate of 6.9% (n=34 responses) was attained. Most of the participants 14(33.40%) using a standardize measures in everyday practices as an OTs and 25 participants (73.50%) are often used using standardize measures for screening, and 24 participants (70.60%) are used it to screen the development of physical, psychological and psychosocial development of children, such as Peabody, Denver I & II and Short Sensory profile. The participants reported medium knowledge regarding the standardize measures and the knowledge regarding the scores-types and measurement concept are quite low. Next, there is a significant difference in knowledge regarding score-type and measurement concept with gender. In addition, there is a significant difference in knowledge / skills regarding standardise measures among participants who are holding a master's degree. Significance of the study: This study revealed the circuit trends m usage of the assessment among the occupational therapists in Malaysia.
