Thus, this paper discusses the role of the cultural space that marked the historic town's identity from Kuala Dungun and Taiping. A case study method is done by involving the observation site and questionnaire survey to collect citizens cultural experience. The results showed that the cultural space resulting from routine activities, socio-cultural and economic vitality contribute to the identity of historic cities. © 2013 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
