In addition, the implementation of safety levels in the element of walkways also plays an integral part to ensure the pedestrian users feel safer and more comfortable when utilizing it. The implementation of a priority level of safety for pedestrians was aimed at encouraging and ensuring that consumers to make better use of existing pedestrians to reduce the rate of vehicle use which is a major contributor to air pollution which as affected the community health. The main objective of this study is to identify the study area to implement safety elements for existing pedestrians and recommend and upgrade safety elements that are found to be in poor condition. The goal of this study can be achieved by identifying the existing elements in the study site by using the data collection methods involved such as obtaining data from primary data sources, secondary data sources. The primary data source method in this study was conducted can be obtained by implementing observing method at the study area and conducting a questionnaire study to the respondents. In addition, the secondary data source method can be obtained information from articles, books and journals related to walkway safety. As a result of the study, the findings will be obtained from the site analysis. All the findings of the study will be formulated into a study proposal and recommendation to upgrade the level of safety structures toward walkway for pedestrian at the study area conducted.
