Summary:I carried out my industrial training at Unit Kejuruteraan dan Penyelenggaraan (UKP), Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM). HUSM is divided into being Healthy Campus completed as a Knowledge and Specialist Development Centre besides education, research and service facilities provided for all staffs and students. It also offers industrial training opportunities to the students in need of education about medicine, machine, construction, accounting and other related course. About the Unit Kejuruteraan dan Penyelenggaraan (UKP), is the departments under USM Health Campus that are responsible on engineering and maintenance works for campus and hospital. During my industrial training period a number of approaches and exposure methods were used which included repairing, replacement, renovation, and servicing. I was assigned to different works such as meaning, administration, maintenance and construction work. This helped me to interact with different people, clients and also helped me how to deal a certain projects with them. I gain knowledge on how to overcome a problem at a site visit. It also give an opportunity for me to learn and familiarize with the industry of their discipline and acquire interpersonal skills through meeting with professionals in my field of study. In conclusion, this was an opportunity to develop and enhance skills and competencies in preparation for my career field as civil engineering which actually achieved.
