Description
Summary:As the education fees are becoming more luxurious, most students having affordability issue making them to try applying for scholarships. Therefore, hundreds and even thousands of applications need to be handled by sponsor to be analysed. The massive quantity of students applying for the scholarship would require a lot of time to filter out students who meet the basic requirements before ranking them based on the most ideal criteria of the scholarship. Human intervention may pose as a risk if the supervisor makes a bias judgement on each candidate. The main purpose of this research is to find student ranking based on each scholarship ideal criteria. Two methods will be implemented which is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to give weight to each criterion based on its priority, and Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to rank students based on its value of each criterion. This research can help most of the scholarship provider making multi criterion decision to produce a consistent and accurate ranking of which candidates that is eligible for the scholarship.
