Summary:Nordin Batik & Craft Sdn Bhd is fully owned by a bumiputera company that operating under auspices of Tuan Haji Nordin bin Mahmood. It was established on 29th October 1993. Nordin Batik & Craft became the leading batik company in Kelantan when Wisma Nordin was established and located at Lot 74, Kampung Paloh Pintu Geng, Kota Bharu, Kelantan, worth more than 2 million. It was established with the name Nordin Batik Sdn Bhd, before business registered under the Ordinance of 1956 as the Sole Proprietor of a business which plans on the 1st Sept 1981. Then on February 23, 2010, from Nordin Batik its changed to Nordin Batik & Craft Sdn. Bhd. The hard work and perseverance owner, master pilgrimage Nordin bin Mahmood, the company has grown year after year in the future of the enterprise traditional batik. He has started this batik industry since 1972, located in the Kampung Sireh, Kota Bharu, Kelantan (Azhar, 2015). After facing various obstacles in the batik industry as well as intense competition among batik entrepreneurs around Kota Bharu, Tuan Haji Nordin has taken the bold step at the exact time to further his business empire by establishing Wisma Nordin and Nordin Batik Showroom. Nordin Batik Showroom also located at the Wisma Nordin building which is the first handicraft mall in Kota Bharu. Tuan Haji Nordin also continues to work harder on these products as it has been an important part of his life apart from developing local products to better be acknowledged to locals and tourists.
