This study was conducted to evaluate the mechanical properties of finger jointing effect by adhersive types on three different species at three species (Acacia mangium, neolamarckia cadamba and leucaena spp.), and to determine the effects of species and adhesive used on finger jointing system. This two adhesive and the combination of same species were tested in horizontal orientation for bending properties (modulus of elasticity and modulus of rupture) conforming to the European standard (EN 408:2003). The result revealed that the speciment from the three species and the type of adhesive (polyvinyl acetate and Epoxy) was strong enough to be use as material in funiture making.
