Industrial design "Luminaria: Representing light and guidance during exploration." This project presents a conceptual design for a cruiser yacht aimed at addressing the challenges faced by researcher ships in exploring remote and hard-to-access areas. The yacht is designed for expedition activities, specifically to open up smaller, lesser-known, and unvisited ports and destinations within the Mediterranean region. The design is guided by three primary criteria: compactness, luxury, and cultural integration. The compact design ensures that the vessel can navigate isolated or less-populated ports and natural regions without compromising functionality. Luxury and comfort are prioritized to provide high-end amenities for affluent travelers while maintaining a sense of adventure and exploration. Additionally, the yacht incorporates elements of cultural integration, reflecting the historical and aesthetic essence of the Mediterranean to enrich the travel experience. Targeted primarily at organizations such as National Geographic and Discovery, Inc., the cruiser yacht serves as an ideal platform for researchers, adventurers, and affluent explorers. It combines practicality with luxury, offering a unique solution for expeditions in uncharted or underexplored areas. By aligning functionality with cultural and luxury considerations, this design aims to redefine the expedition yacht experience, promoting accessibility, sustainability, and cultural appreciation in modern travel.
