Summary: | This project deals with the problem of high performance gap among students in classroom. Records indicate an average rate of 64% diploma and 75% bachelor students have GPA below 3.00. This is alarming and in contrary to the academic quality standards of 50% of graduates to obtain CGPA of 3.00 and above is to be met. Subsequent to investigations and analysis, a few critical contributing factors have been identified such as students, lecturers and teaching methods. Cognitive level acquisitions in classroom on topics covered in the syllabus needs to be strengthened for the students to meet the quality standards. Currently, high percentage of students having poor cognitive skills lead to high percentage of GPA below 3.00. Two creative and innovative solutions have been suggested and evaluative analysis indicated that Neuro Cognitive Tracking System (NCT) plus Neuro Cognitive Action (NGA), mean 3.877, is a better alternative to re ucmg the performance gap in classroom as compared to Consultation/Personal Coaching approach (CPC), average of 55%, and majority of weak students fail to do it. On implementation, it was discovered that manually administered NCT is not so effective. Corrective measure of making the NCT an electronic approach is more effective for weekly monitoring students' classroom disabilities. On standardization, results show that students with GPA below 3.00 have been reduced by 41% and 33% for diploma and bachelor respectively and noted to have met the project objectives. This project entails a total cost of RM 33,750 for a value creation of RM1,389,230. Having NCT and NGA in place, lecturers' productivity is enhanced by virtually allowing them to gauge students' academic deficiency while added administrative task can be accepted as a non-value added creation of the project. |
