The Crime Tracker Mobile Application was proposed in order to help reduce the crime rates and benefit the residents of Bukit Jelutong. At the moment, there is no mobile application that uses a GPS as a locator to pinpoint and display the places of crime specifically around the area of Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam. Thus, developing this Crime Tracker Mobile Application can help a lot of people living in this town, who are concern with the safety of themselves whenever they are alone be it by walking or driving a car. This mobile app can be used by the residents of Bukit Jelutong to view the latest crime reports that are happening around town and also the Bukit Jelutong Residents Associations (BJRA) committees. The BJRA committees act as admin and they can also submit and verify whether the crime reports submitted by the user true or false. In order to develop this mobile app, the principles of human-computer interaction (HCI) were used and the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology was applied. The user first evaluated the first design and the second design were enhanced based on the user’s evaluation. Based on the technique of comparing the existing mobile apps and user testing, a fully developed and functionally working Crime Tracker Mobile Application was successfully developed. The recommendations suggested for future development would be the feature that allows the user to upload pictures of crime to the mobile app and hopefully this app can be used for locations that are outside of Bukit Jelutong. 2015 Thesis NonPeerReviewed text en https://ir.uitm.edu.my/id/eprint/103832/1/103832.pdf Crime tracker mobile application / Wan Mardzati Wan Mahadzir.
