Summary:Today tourism is one of the major industries in Malaysia. With the sophisticated of information technology (IT), tourism activities have changed from hard copy to soft copy information. Fast, accurate and attractive information became very important in advertisement in tourism industry. Malacca is one of the states in the Federation Malaysia, known for its history and it is the only state that has continuous recorded history for 600 years. Started with Malay sultanate, ruled by the Portuguese, Dutch and then the British. During their stayed, they have built many buildings and some of them still available and become spot of attraction for tourist. Using spatial and attributes data for the hotels and heritage buildings, which is located in Malacca and also GIS software Maplnfo, tourist can determine the nearest heritage building from any hotel and the suitable places for them to visit or to stay. This become as an alternative way to get information and beside that can assist them to make decision during their stay in Malacca.
