Summary: | Left-handed individuals accounts for only 10% of world population. Among these group of people, the most prevalence of ABO blood group is yet to be determined. This study aims to determine the association between ABO blood group with left-handedness and the prevalence of left-handedness among undergraduates in Faculty of Health sciences, UiTM Puncak Alam. In this study, a cross sectional survey was used to collect data. It is done by randomly distributing 200 close-ended questionnaire to students in Faculty of Health Sciences, UiTM Puncak Alam. Among 200 students that participated, 31 students were left-handed; which 16 persons were O group, 7 persons were A group, 7 persons were B group and one person was AB group. In conclusion, by doing statistical analysis using SPSS version 24, there was no association of ABO blood group with left-handedness (p=0.948). |
