This paper discusses Takāful market in Malaysia during unprecedented COVID-19 crisis from the Economic and Sharīʽah point of views. Methods: The qualitative technique will be used to bring both primary (semistructured interview of experts) and secondary (documentary content analysis) published data into the context of this research. The data will be analysed using qualitative content, narrative, and discourse analysis to provide its findings and discussion. Results: By understanding the importance of entrusting Bank Negara Malaysia in fulfilling its “raison d’etre” in resolving Covid-19, we can further enhance the support to BNM who has taken the initiative to direct the insurance and takāful industry to initiate adequate response to assist policyholders and participants during the outbreaks as well to ensure its positive impact in Takāful market per se, but its efforts to stabilize and strengthen the socio-economic as well.
