Description
Summary:vanc iquids for th HE ever-evolving phar- cal landscape, new and discoveries ape the phar- One such f ionic n l development. Incorporating ILs presents a prom- ising pathway to enhance medication effectiveness and ensure ethical compliance, particularly in adhering to halal standards. For millions of Muslims, the assur- ance that their prescriptions align with Islamic values is of utmost importance. This article explores the role of ILs within halal pharmaceuticals, explor- ing the benefits, challenges and future potential. UNIQUE PROPERTIES AND ADVANTAGES Ionic liquids (ILs) are salts that remain in a liquid state below 100, unlike conventional salts, which are typically solid at room temperature. Due to the variety of ions that can be paired, ILs offer an extensive range of possible combinations. The appeal of ILs lies in their diverse chemical structures and properties, including negligible volatility, high polarity, excellent thermal stability, strong ionic conductivity, low melting point, structural tunability and good solubility. These attributes make ILs highly effective as solvents and functional materials across various industrial luding catalysis, elec- chemistry, and pharmaceuticals.
