By highlighting a range of persistent obstacles, including inadequate infrastructure, limited public transport accessibility, and insufficient disability-friendly amenities in public spaces, the author paints a nuanced picture of the current landscape facing individuals with disabilities. A critical analysis of the Malaysian Disability Action Plan 2016-2022 forms a significant part of the discourse. This plan, designed to enhance accessibility, education, employment opportunities, and societal awareness, is scrutinised with particular attention to its limitations.
